Founded in 1981 as a trading company specializing in non-ferrous metals, ALCONIX has supported the development of Japanese manufacturing through its aluminum and copper products. In the 2000s, ALCONIX had a second founding through a management buyout (MBO) and was subsequently listed on the Tokyo Stock Exchange, allowing us to accumulate strength for further growth while enhancing our management structure. Since then, we have expanded our domestic and overseas networks and gained a greater presence as a leading company in minor metals and rare earths. Currently, we are promoting a unique growth strategy that seeks to combine our original business of non-ferrous metals trading with manufacturing acquired through M&A. We aim to make a further leap forward as a one-stop comprehensive solution provider offering everything from production to wholesale of non-ferrous metal materials, parts, and products.
Based on our performance trends and financial indicators, we are ready to take on the challenge of the next stage of growth. We will actively promote the establishment of a governance structure and investment in human resources, our source of value creation, and will grow a solid trunk and roots for future fruits.
The non-ferrous metals we handle not only play an important role in cutting-edge products but are also indispensable materials in the decarbonization trend toward realizing a carbon-neutral society. As a group specializing in non-ferrous metals, we will respond to the growing demand for aluminum, copper, and minor metals and rare earths, especially for automobiles, semiconductors, and electronic materials, and contribute to a sustainable society by establishing a system for recycling these materials.
