We, ALCONIX, have been running a campaign named "Go! Plastic Smart with Waterlogic" to encourage people to "reduce plastic bottles" and "use personal bottles" through the sales promotion of "Waterlogic," water purifier, which we deal in.

As part of this initiative, we held an event at our exhibition booth at the International Hotel and Restaurant Show HCJ2024, which was held at Tokyo Big Sight from February 13th to 16th, 2024, inviting professional golfer Shugo Imahira*1 (hereinafter referred to as "Pro Imahira").

From the perspective of the SDGs, such as reducing CO2 emissions by reducing waste plastic and providing safe and reliable water, we have been promoting our Waterlogicwater purifiers*2 that are directly connected to the water supply plumbing.

Pro Imahira has long been interested in promoting the SDGs in the golf field and has even made the cooperation with environmentally friendly golf equipment manufacturers.

It is against this background that Pro Imahira agreed with our initiatives, leading to this collaboration.

At the kickoff event held on February 16th, we invited Pro Imahira to our exhibition booth and distributed tumblers with his autography to promote the campaign among visitors and the media.

Through this event, we will call for a change in lifestyle to be more environmentally-friendly, and encourage efforts to reduce greenhouse gases by limiting the use of disposable plastic products like PET bottles, as well as to prevent marine pollution caused by plastics and other substances.

In addition, in June 2024, we created a 90-second concept video titled "Go! Plastic Smart with Waterlogic."

We will continue to share information about the sustainability initiatives being operated through our business activities, so please stay tuned.

*2 The Waterlogic water purifiers sold by our company are products that connect directly to the water supply and are equipped with a unique UVC sterilization system that has been third-party certified, offering benefits to both water providers and consumers. For the provider, this reduces the CO2 emitted during the production and transportation of bottles, as well as the hassle of replacing bottles and cleaning the water outlets.

For consumers, compared to buying beverages in plastic bottles, there is no need to throw away waste, and the UVC sterilization system means they can enjoy safe and secure water at any time.
